Overview
Our 4 Days Uganda Gorilla Habituation and Lake Bunyonyi tour in Uganda, will give you a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to meet the rare Mountain gorillas in their habitat and take part in the process of getting them used to people, then after you will visit a historical lake of over one thousand islands each with a history attached to it.
This tour will take you through the central and southern parts of Uganda giving you a chance to drive through the traditional towns of Uganda, cross the Equator line twice, and meet the local communities of Uganda along the way to misty, magical tropical rain forests of Bwindi National park where you will have a chance to track and encounter the magnificent mountain gorillas the gentle giants roaming in their habitat forests of Bwindi you will spend four hours with them once you find them then after your gorilla trek you will visit Lake Bunyonyi for a canoe boat ride and village walks.
This tour is open to any date throughout the year and depending on availability we will book your trek in Nkuringo, as well this tour can also be tailored to best fit your budget and interests ranging from accommodation requirements, transport, and meals throughout the tour.
Detailed Itinerary
You will be picked up by our safari guide from either a guest house/Lodge in Entebbe or Kampala if you arrive a day before or from Entebbe International Airport if you arrive in the very early morning hours, then drive to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park in South Western Uganda where you will spend two nights.
This journey is about an 8-9-hour drive but very enjoyable as you will be driving through various local communities and towns along the road, the drive also takes you through the beautiful cascading and rolling hills of the Kigezi region. You will also have an opportunity to cross the equator where you will have an en-route stopover for photography and equator experience then you will drive to Mbarara for en-route lunch after proceeding to Bwindi Impenetrable forest for overnight.
Accommodation: Rushaga Gorilla Havens Lodge or Nkuringo Bwindi Gorilla Lodge.

Meal Plan: Full Board.
Drive time: 8-9 hours’ drive.
After early morning breakfast, you will drive to the Park headquarters for registration and join others for a gorilla habituation briefing about the dos and don’ts during your Uganda Gorilla Habituation Tour.
Once this is done, you will trek through the tropical rainforest of Bwindi with your ranger guides to find the Gorillas, which can take you from half an hour to three-quarters of the day.
During your trek, you will have a chance to encounter other wildlife including, various bird species and tree species which your guide which give you information about to make the trek enjoyable.
Once you find them you will spend four hours with them. You will be awarded a certificate for participating in gorilla habituation and thus contributing to the conservation of mountain gorillas.

After your breakfast, you will drive to Lake Bunyonyi for a canoe boat rides on the lake to visit various islands, Lake Bunyonyi is one of the three Lava damned Lake which was formed when lava flowing from one of the volcanoes blocked a river channel and water was forced to flow back hence filling the space to create lake Bunyonyi.
Bunyonyi locally means small birds due to the abundance of small birds in this area.
Lake Bunyonyi is said to be the deepest lake in Uganda and the second deepest in Africa.
A person visits Lake Bunyonyi for its beauty and is one of the best places to relax after your gorilla trek.
Meal Plan: Half Board.
Drive time: 8-9 hours’ drive.
On this day,y you will then be driven to Kampala or Entebbe for your post-tour accommodation or you may choose to fly out of Uganda today.
You will use the same Uganda Gorilla Trekking Tour route as when you came through.
